2008 FAST FACTS:
MONSTAAR Records is an independent record company purveying unique underground music from around the globe.
Originally, in June 1998 when the company was founded, it was named Spurious Communications/SPURCOM.
In 2002, the name was changed to "MIDFI Records", and was based in Ft. Lauderdale, FL., then Olympia, WA., then Los Angeles, CA..
When CHICKENBOX! was added to MIDFI's roster, the label's only home and office was a car (Honda Civic EX!!).
In 2004, for legal reasons, MIDFI is changed to "MONSTAAR Records".
MONSTAAR is now based in Chicago, IL., with a London, UK branch.
We are PRO ANIMAL RIGHTS.
We have proudly served the following countries. Hopefully we'll get every one!
